This listing is for a 30" up cycled thick rainstick with natural smoke deerskin and burgundy deerskin leather. On the main body of the leather there is a sunflower image burned in. Peppered in the long fringe are small feathers of smoke and burgundy with pretty leaf and flower beads in the seam. There is also an ochre artisan yarn in there too. It is a pretty combination. big loud sound and long sustain coupled with the larger size makes this one of the rainsticks that you won't want to miss.
A little bit about rainsticks.....they are actually made of hollow cactus. Inside there is a maze of little posts and there are seeds or stones that trickle through the maze of the posts making it sound like rain. The larger and thicker the rainstick, the bigger the sound. The smaller ones are fun to use as a shaker to keep rhythm but if you are looking for more of a sound healing instrument then this is what you are looking for.
