This listing is for a 15" Basic Single Head hand drum. It is made with pine staves and deerskin. It is 2" deep. Lightweight and ready to trek to your favorite ceremony spot with a beautiful sound and easy to carry.
As with every drum, it comes with its own medicine bundle. Inside the medicine bundle are the following herbs....and there is still a little room for you to add something personal too. The bag itself is made of deerskin which is the symbol of gentleness and unconditional love. The deer represents moving through life's obstacles with grace.
Cedar - purification, protection, prayer, and healing' Bear Berry Leaf - to carry the prayers to the Great Spirit; Mullein leaf - healing and medicinal needs; Red Willow Bark - prayers, spiritual protection, respect; Red Sumac Leaf - to mix with tobacco to help carry prayers; Spearmint leaf - for hospitality; Lavender - for love, devotion, silence, tranquility; Sage (white and desert) - purification and cleaning; Sweetgrass - for protection and healing; and Ceremonial Tobacco
This drum comes with its own drum beater too. It is a bent wooden handle, fairly long and I think it is sycamore wood but I am not totally sure on that. Try as I might to label them when I find them but sometimes those pieces of tape go by the wayside in the process of getting cut and worked up. What can I say!
