Memorial Day Keepsakes
Running after it a little bit to get this blog in. Gotta find my rhythm to this which I am sure will develop over time. I was so pleased to get the new website, newsletter and blog up that once it was done I just moved back to my work table to get caught up.
One of the things that I wanted to do with this blog was to promote some other great artists and the first one that I need to promote has been instrumental in my new website. So my featured artist friend is Holly Bean.
Holly has an Etsy store and her own website. www.etsy.com/shop/HollyBeanDesign and www.HollyBean.com . Holly is sharing her healing spirit through her art and I can say from personal experience that this is true. Holly creates beautiful and meaningful beaded art jewelry. She recently made a memorial necklace for me in honor of my late kitty Jingle Bell. It is just beautiful.
Holly and I both have interest in making more memorial products. I think they touch our hearts and we would love to work together to create a special piece for someone. The necklace/beadwork that she makes would be the perfect focal piece to attach to one of my memorial bags and with Memorial day coming right up it is the perfect time to think about that. Memorial Day is May 30th and what a perfect gift it would make for someone who has experienced a loss this past year.

Just imagine what these would look like combined.
On a lighter note I have to tell you that one of my favorite little indulgences is my tabletop Sirius satellite radio. I do not know how I would ever work without it. Whatever mood I am in there is a perfect station to listen to. And sometimes when I work late into the night I have my Bose speaker and my iPod with my Native flute music sounding like a distant drum in the night. GREAT music to work by.
The week ahead should warm up a bit. It seems like winter just doesn't want to leave. A flute bag is laying out on my work table right now. I will be reconnecting with an old friend who needs a pair of moccasins, and there are a couple of people who will be becoming Wellness Advocates for Do Terra essential oils that I will be signing up this week. I am sure you will hear more about essential oils in the upcoming blogs.
Your little challenge for this week is to just take one minute. Stand outside and notice that spring is here. Smell the clean air and notice the beauty that is all around us.
