This ceremonial drum beater is all about the medicine wheel. There is so much to the medicine wheel and drumming....too. much to tell you here in this listing but each direction on the medicine wheel represents different things. So ceremonial drumming with meditation on the medicine wheel is the perfect combination. The drum head itself is made out of Black deerskin, the deer symbolizes moving through life with grace. There is a painted antler piece with the colors of the medicine wheel on it. On the end of the drumstick there are also tiny feathers in the same colors....except I added 1 more....green to represent "within".
it is 18' and the drum head is filled with luxe fleece and it is also infused with the following herbs.
Cedar - purification, protection, prayer, healing; Bear berry Leaf - to carry the prayers to the Great Spirit; Red Willow Bark - prayers, spiritual protection, respect; Spearmint leaf - to pair with ancestral herbs; Lavender - love, devotion, silence, tranquility; Sage (white and desert) - purification and cleaning; Sweetgrass - protection healing; and Ceremonial tobacco.
Lots of meaning and power in this drumstick. Overall it s 20" with the feathers hanging down it is 24".
