Here we have a rugged cowgirl purse that is perfect for the rough and tumble girl. On the sides and top of the flap is a whisky colored elk hide. Really pretty fringe and the two toned color really catches your eye and makes it flirty. There is a tribal edge burned on the strap, the sides of the purse and a small section on the flap.
There is no closure on this, only a flap but it really doesn't need one. the leather kind of grips the contents. The strap is cross body at the moment with a 22 1/2" drop. It is comfortable and about 2" wide. If you need an alteration to the strap length just let me know and I will make it perfect for you before I ship it.
Now let's talk about the cool part of this bag. It comes with two ways to decorate it. On the left side of the bag there is a small hole in the strap. This is where you can attach one of two decoration. first there is a stringer of matching leather feathers. Just poke the leather tie through and tie a knot and it's good to go, when you want to remove it just untie and use again next time. Then there is a bundle of real feathers. We all like read feathers but they are not always practical....so this is my solution to that. This bundle has an owl feather, a turkey feather, and pheasant feathers. The owl symbolizes protection, insight and wisdom. The Turkey feather symbolizes abundance and connection to the land. the pheasant feather symbolized abundance and renewal. The feathers are wrapped in a smoke deerskin and you tie them on the same way. So if you are doing something special and can be careful with them use the real feathers, if not; go with the indestructible leather feathers.
Please be aware that I do NOT guarantee that the real feathers will hold up. They won't, I can promise that but if you are careful with them you will be able to use them for years.
