This listing is for a hand drum strap. Native Drums, Shamanic drums and healings drum of all sizes will fit on this strap. This strap is made to carry your drum in a hands free way, cross body. It is perfect for hiking or to wear during your pilgrimage when you might want to play frequently along the way. The strap doesn't affect the ability to play your drum while it is attached. You can slip it off of your shoulder and play it, then loop it back on your shoulder without ever leaving your body. You will never leave it behind or have to get in and out of a bag. It is made to hang low on the hip....almost the leg, so that it is not in the way and can travel well without getting in the way of your arm.
This strap is made of a natural smoked color in Elk leather. The leather is super soft and has a natural edge the entire length of the strap. This strap is in one piece and in order to have them be this long it takes an elk hide to do it. Deer are not usually big enough, thought straps can be seamed or knotted. This strap is 61" with ties that are adjustable. The ties simply tie on the back of your drum so it doesn't affect the sound or the holding of the drum. On the strap you will see the "hippie" designs. Sunflowers, the sun, Peace, Love, Spirals and hearts are all part of the theme on this strap so far. And there is plenty of room to add to this too, We can personalize it in any way you would like.
You can also have a loop to hold your drum beater. I am happy to add this to your strap if you want, you can make it adjustable so that it will fit snugly. You can also drill a hole in the end of your drum beater and attach it that way, either to the back of your drum or to the strap. Just let me know if you want me to add a loop or a hole.
