Does it ever seem like everywhere you turn the same message is waiting for you? Well my message lately has been to be just a little easier on myself and let myself off the hook a little bit.   This blog is a perfect example.  When I started this I wanted to blog every week or week and a half and do a newsletter once a month.  Ok, so I am only a few weeks late! 

As time has went on I have just kept telling myself that it is ok, I will get back to it.  Nothing happened, no one punished me.  I was the one that put the demands on myself to start with.  My point is this, sometimes you just have to let some things go and love yourself enough to say that it is ok.  I don't know about you but my God has a way of continuing to put those things before me until I get the message.  I like to think of myself as being aware and alert to His messages but sometimes saying and doing are two different things.

There are some new items in my store as well.  I finally accomplished some hand dying so I have some new pastel items. Also mens leather neck ties, a purse or two and rain sticks are back with more are on the way.

In case that isn't enough new news for this blog I have one more large piece of information.  I have a new/second Etsy shop with my cousin Cindy. I think I also need to give everyone an update on Job's Tears.  Well since I am behind on my updates I finally got some "tears" this week.  My crop has not been good this year.  My first planting only yielded about a dozen plants, so I planted again, again, and yes a third planting.  Part of my challenge has been the pesky squirrels.  They seem to like them quite a lot and it is hard to get the plants to get strong enough roots that they don't pull them up.  Hopefully my third planting will yield me at least a few plants that will produce by the first frost.  

In closing today I hope you don't mind a little personal indulgence.  This weekend I had to lay my dog Mattie to rest.  She has been a friend and faithful watch dog for 15 years.  She just couldn't beat the seizures anymore and it was time to help her.  Just wanted to broadcast to the universe a message to Mattie.  "Thank you for those wonderful years Mattie, you were the best dog ever and you will be loved as long as I breathe.  Rest in peace sweet baby!"
